Adult Irish Dance

Whether you’re a total beginner or an experienced dancer, O’Connor Irish Dance offers a supportive, energetic, and fun environment to learn and enjoy Irish dance.

Terri Heckmann, TCRG – Director, has been teaching adult dancers for over 25 years across North America, Europe (during the Riverdance phenomenon), and Mexico, and she brings this expertise and passion to every class.

DANCE FOR ALL LEVELS

We offer adult classes from beginner to advanced, including recreational and optional competitive programs. Our classes are designed to:

  • Build technique for solos, ceili, and performances
  • Provide a solid aerobic workout
  • Encourage social connection and fun
  • Gradually teach new dancers the foundational steps, building confidence each class

Competition and performances are never mandatory — many adults take classes simply for fitness, music, and enjoyment.

COMMUNITY & SOCIAL EVENTS

Our adult dancers enjoy a welcoming and supportive community. Classes occasionally include:

  • After-class social events
  • Attendance at Celtic festivals and local Ceili Society events
  • Opportunities to perform at community events, St. Patrick’s Day, and other seasonal performances

Long-time students are helpful and friendly, making it easy for new dancers to feel at home.
